Posthuman Ecofeminism in Art, Literature, and Aesthetics
International Workshop, 22-24 October 2025, University Bonn
Institute of Art History (KHI)
Institute of German Studies, Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies (IGLK)
Ecofeminism and posthumanism both challenge dominant hierarchies and dualisms shaping our understanding of power, nature, and society. Bringing these approaches together, the workshop explores how artistic and literary practices open new perspectives on interdependence, conviviality, and more-than-human relations. By engaging with current ecofeminist and posthumanist thought, participants will discuss how art, literature, and aesthetics can respond to the entanglements of ecology, technology, and social justice in the climate crisis.
